Update!

Although this blog is more of a platform to share my interests and inspirations regarding lifestyle, beauty and fashion, I thought I would update you on a significant and recent change in my life. As you might be aware, I  went to University this year to study sociology and as you can tell from my first blog post I was absolutely loving life. What you don't see in the pictures however is that in the mist of it all I was miserable. I loved the uni life, my friends and my new found independence but my course itself was driving me insane! I have always been very hard working and a bit nerdy to stay the least, so when I was struggling to get to grips with my course I would find myself in the library from 9am to 6pm almost everyday trying to get my head around it. This is not what a fresher is meant to be doing in their first few months of uni, I knew something wasn't right. After consulting my parents and sister who is currently a undergraduate herself, I was told that things would get better and that it takes time to settle in. January exams were fast approaching and I don't think a day passed without me ringing my family and bawling my eyes out. I knew that when I sat my last exam that I had to leave. Although my exam results were recently released and surprisingly I managed to get really good results, a round of 2:1s. The decision to leave was thoroughly thought out and I knew that it would be the best thing for me as there was no way I could put myself through this torture for the next three years. Thus the week after my exams I packed my stuff and came back home. It's been an emotional time in my life and I feel so blessed to have such an supportive system around me. The next few months are going to be tough as I work out what it is that I exactly want to do.

Since moving back home I have built a much better relationship with my grandmother, we have not always seen eye to eye but coming home and being surrounded by her love daily has really made me appreciate her more than I perhaps should. She is currently holidaying in India and I have decided to fly out and stay with her for a month. My parents managed to get me tickets within such a short period of time and I fly tomorrow!!! Eeek! I'm so excited and nervous at the same time! I will be flying out solo and stopping at 'Tashkent Airport' for a few hours then heading to Amritsar, home of the Golden Temple, then will be picked up and driven back to my Late Grandfather's village, Gumtala. I'm excited to spend time with my family and celebrate the marriage of my uncle! Once the chaos and excitement that a big Indian wedding brings has died down, I am looking forward to relaxing with my gran and to think about my future and the direction I want to go in.

I won't be posting for a while and will update you on my adventure when I get back in April!

Ojon Haircare

I have been looking for some time now a new hair care routine that would nourish my damaged mane. I would describe my hair as long, extremely heavy and damaged but it can easily become greasy, so I needed something that was going to help revitalise it but not include many oily ingredients. Therefore I was recommended to try this new brand that has been recently introduced into Boots health and beauty stores in the UK. Although the Ojon products are quite deer for haircare ranging at £15-£40 I think this amount to spend is justifiable  because your hair goes through a lot and needs quality attention. Having only used these products for a couple of weeks I can notice a big difference especially using the shampoo as it has beads of antioxidant rich Rouge Oleifera that really rejuvenate the hair.

VB S/S14

If I could raid anyone's wardrobe, it would always be Victoria Beckham's. That woman is the definition of power, sophistication and elegance. Forgetting her Spice Girl days and that awful blond short cut, she is my ultimate woman. Her textures, colours, choice of cuts are bang on! I absolutely love the spring/ summer 2014 ready to wear collection. I have been saying for a while now that I want to start experimenting with neutrals and light greys and her collection is perfection and it has really inspired me. I can only dream of owning a real VB piece, so hurry up Zara and imitate her designs. I need.

London Grammar

My Friday night was pretty exciting as I was fortunate enough to be given tickets to the London Grammar gig in Nottingham as a reward for finishing my exams! I'm not gonna lie I was pretty stoked to see the British indie trio as their music has a mellow vibe which puts you into a different zone, it is calm and peaceful and just what I like. I also enjoyed the incredible set by both supporting acts Dan Croll and Kyan; whom I had never heard of before last night but now I can't get enough of them!
